They’re hosting live streaming sessions on Stationhead, a social radio platform, and engaging tens of thousands across the world, who are live commenting along to try to drive their favorite group up the charts and make sure that “Butter” is the official song of summer 2021.
Meanwhile, the audio chat market is heating up with platforms like Clubhouse and Twitter’s Spaces, but these platforms lack Stationhead's ability to integrate music. Stationhead's biggest advantage may be that it does not need music licensing deals, since it simply functions through the deals Spotify and Apple Music already have in place.
Many of these new social apps use video, audio and text features to connect strangers and friends, fans and celebrities, including the chat service Discord Inc. and Stationhead Inc., where users can effectively host their own radio show.
The startup says it’s growing quickly, with 100,000 monthly active users — a number that’s increasing by 65% each month — and 500,000 total users. There are 6,300 hosts on the platform, and they created nearly 2 million live and recorded streams in the first three months of the year.
Cardi, born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, recently discussed her future aspirations, which include becoming 'a billion dollar woman.' In an interview with Stationhead last week, the outspoken rapper said she now considers Rihanna and Jay-Z to be her role models, because she wants 'to build a huge brand.
The "Up" rapper made an appearance on Stationhead, the growing social audio platform, that was hosted by BARDIGANGRADIO on Wednesday (March 17).

The New York rapper, who performed ‘WAP’ at Sunday’s Grammys, was being interviewed on Stationhead this week when she spoke about how her inspirations had changed since first starting out.
“We are reinventing the future of live radio, and a critical part of our strategy is to bring the best creators to the platform to do what they do best, create engaging experiences. Stationhead makes it possible for anyone to host their own show with no institutionalized barriers to entry,” said Stationhead CEO and artist Ryan Star in a statement.
